Our recruitment journey

At Coventry Building Society, we're committed to a simple and streamlined recruitment journey that gives you the space to be all that you can be.

Here's what you can expect:

Apply and submit your CV

We always make sure the essential criteria on our job ads reflect what's truly needed for each role. Spend time updating your CV with this in mind, and showcase your skills in the answers to the application questions.

Review

Once you've submitted your application, we'll take a look at it and check you meet the criteria for the role. If you do, our friendly Talent Acquisition team will be in touch to talk more about the role and next steps. They're here to support you throughout the recruitment journey.

Interview

Next is the interview stage, which will either take place in-person or virtually. We'll ask you to talk us through your experience and share some real-life examples so we can see how you'd approach our role. We'll send you a handy guide to help prepare for your interview, which will include the competencies being assessed for the role, along with some example questions.

Assessments

Depending on the role, we may ask you to complete some additional assessments. We'll always make sure you know in advance if we need you to do anything further, and make sure you have plenty of preparation time.

Offer and background checks

If you're successful, we'll make you a verbal offer. As we're regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, if you accept this offer, we'll need you to complete some background checks. Once these have been done, we'll send you an employment contract to sign.

Getting started

We’ll stay in touch before you start, and our corporate induction programme at the Coventry Building Society Arena will give you a brilliant introduction to the Society. Then you’ll be ready to go!
