Senior Manager - Financial Crime Assurance

Our Group’s programme of activity has significantly expanded. In response, we are enhancing our financial crime risk management capabilities to ensure robust oversight and compliance across the enterprise.

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Crime Assurance to provide expert guidance and independent assurance over the effectiveness of our financial crime controls. This role will report directly to the MLRO and work closely with Group Executives to strengthen our financial crime risk management framework.

The role will be accountable for:

• Leading and developing the Group’s Financial Crime Assurance team
• Leading the design and execution of the Group wide Financial Crime Assurance methodology and plan
• Leveraging your experience and industry insight to develop an effective, reusable approach to conducting assurance reviews.
• Engaging with stakeholders, support the timely execution of the plan ensure the need for a review.
• Management and oversight of actions to remediate findings during assurance reviews

To be successful in this role it’s essential you are a senior leader with a strong track record of Financial Crime Assurance activity and experience of what good looks like for FC risk management across all sub-risk types.

• Experience Financial Crime Assurance professional with a proven track record of operating at a senior management level with the ability to provide appropriate challenge and influence Executives
• Experience of building and leading teams in this critical area, with a strong track record of building the tools to complete Financial Crime assurance activity (e.g. methodologies and high-quality reviews)
• Ability to build strong and enduring working relationships to help ensure key messages are clearly defined and understood.

Desirable experience will be:

• Assurance experience in multiple organisations over financial crime sub risks including Money Laundering, sanctions and fraud.
