About the role

As our Data Office continues to grow and embed data risk across the Society, we have a new opportunity to join us as a Data Risk Analyst on a 12 month basis.

The Data Risk Analyst will support the Data Risk and Controls operating model to monitor the standards, processes, artefacts and governance mechanisms required for effective management of the Society’s risks at functional and category level.

The person in role will monitor risks across the Society and will be the subject matter expert for all Data Risk reporting, providing timely insights against a set of defined Key Risk and Performance Indicators.

Supporting the Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA) for the Data Office, the Data Risk Analyst will also support in producing a monthly dashboard report for the Data Risk Committee, providing accurate and insightful MI.

The team operate on a hybrid basis and are on-site at least 1 day a week after training.

About you

For this role you’ll have the ability to analyse conflicting information, engage with stakeholders and work on mini projects to deliver risk reduction activities within a fast paced and ever changing environment, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

To be successful in this role it’s essential you have:

  • An understanding of risk and controls from a banking environment preferably with a good knowledge of data risk
  • Planning and organising skills including project management
  • The ability to track and monitor risk reduction plans including controls testing risk policies and frameworks
  • Evidence of working with stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to persuade and influence
  • Confidence in the use of computer systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel and 365

Desirable experience will be:

  • A data risk background from a data function
  • Previous experience of working with internal risk and audit functions
  • Experience of significant change and delivery
