About the role

We're looking for a customer and people-focused Assistant Customer Service Manager (ASM) to lead and inspire in our Merry Hill branch. Our role is all about supporting the branch alongside the Customer Service Manager and improving customer lives, not achieving sales and targets, in our branch and community.

Working in one of our larger branch location mainly looking after the counter team our ASMs are empowered to make decisions, to enhance their team’s performance, but also make a positive impact locally. They must form a deep understanding of the role their branch plays in the community and seek out opportunities to make a difference.

By nurturing their teams, successful managers deliver a service that members value. They care how others think and feel about coming to work. Their teams feel they belong, can be themselves and get the support they need to flourish.

Merry Hills operating hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 7pm and Saturday 9am - 2pm (Saturdays are typically 2 a month and a day off in lieu will be given)

About you

To be successful, you’ll have experience of leading a team and / or coaching from a financial services branch team or you may already be a leader in customer obsessed retail role, looking for a new challenge. We’ll be looking for experience of how you’ve inspired those around you and improved the customer experience.

You’ll be passionate about people with experience of coaching and developing, not only team members but peers as well. You’ll also be able to evidence where you've persuaded and influenced others including senior management and stakeholders.

Demonstrating resilience, taking ownership and experience of dealing with more complex or challenging situations will also be important skills.
