Manager - Product Strategy Development

About The Role

A new role within the Product department has been created to deliver a strategic ‘step change’ in our savings and mortgage product propositions.  Drawing one your focused SME knowledge, you will help redefine, reshape and reimagine our pricing/product propositions from the core by identifying and responding to longer term risks and opportunities.  

You will work closely with your senior manager  and other business leaders to support complex internal change initiatives, strategic enhancements and policy developments for both Mortgage and Savings products. 

About You
 You will be proficient building strategic relationships, including managing expectations as required, with the Heads of Departments  and experienced building strong and effective working relationships both within the wider Product team as well as across a wide range of teams (Marketing, Finance, Credit Risk, Distribution, IT & Treasury).

You will have:

  • Educated to Degree level, preferably in a Business, Economics or a related field 
  • High proficiency in both Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint. Knowledge of statistics is desirable.
  • The ability to develop clear and impactful written and verbal presentations (supported by robust insight and analysis), make recommendations and influence decision makers across teams and business areas.
  • Proven communicator with demonstrable proficiency in managing and influencing stakeholders at all levels
  • Substantial experience within the financial services industry, experience of Credit Risk, Product Management/ Development or Product Pricing/Strategy is highly desirable.
