Senior Analyst - Energy and Carbon

The Energy and Carbon Analyst role sits within the Environment Team in the wider CBS Property department. Working collaboratively across the business, the team are responsible for supporting and providing the necessary solutions to achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2040 and this role will contribute towards achieving our commitments.

About You

As an Energy and Carbon Analyst you will support our efforts to achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2040 through proactive, high quality Carbon and utilities data monitoring and reporting.   You’ll do this through forecasting, budgeting and benchmarking and will identify and make strategic recommendations for ongoing improvements in energy and carbon efficiency.

To be successful in this role you’ll need to be passionate about the Carbon and Sustainability agenda and an interest in developing skills in this area.  Ideally, you’ll have a degree in Energy/Carbon/Sustainability discipline or demonstrate previous experience in this area.

You’ll have great analytical skills with experience of working with large volumes of data and ability to deliver high quality reports.

You’ll be confident with your IT skills and be able to work with large databases and proficient in advanced Excel database management tools (i.e. Vlookup, Pivot table, logical function)

You’ll have a sound working knowledge of the Energy Industry and familiarity with energy efficiency principles or carbon reduction would be an advantage.

A proficient understanding of operational energy patterns, benchmarking, energy data analysis and consumption variances through the use of Energy Management Systems and Platforms or transferrable skills in this area.

You’ll have strong stakeholder management skills with an ability to question and challenge, putting forward new ideas and gaining buy in through key working relationships.
