Marketing Specialist - B2B

As Marketing Specialist – B2B, you’ll be reporting in to the Senior Marketing Manager, and working hand in hand with our B2B areas of the business. You’ll play a key part in delivering our message to our B2B partners, particularly our network of mortgage brokers. You will be responsible for managing our ongoing communication with them, making sure they understand and are advocates for, our products, policies and proposition. You will be empowered to manage the day to day delivery of our communication strategy across multiple channels such as e-mail, social, PR, events and via our intermediary website. You’ll report on progress against the delivery of the objectives and key results driven by the strategy, and suggest alternatives and new ways to achieve and exceed them. You’ll have high standards, making sure processes are followed appropriately and consistently, outputs are always technically accurate and that they reflect our brand visual identity and tone of voice.

The Marketing Specialist – B2B will also work with the team to deliver key campaigns to further enhance our proposition and standing in the market. You’ll support on the delivery of key B2B customer journeys, at all times thinking about our B2B partners’ needs, whilst maintaining a strong commercial focus.

Campaign management and creativity is important too. You’ll be able to move a project right through from inception to delivery and sign off, always focusing on the objective and bringing the team along with you.

To deliver all of the above you will need to be able to build strong working relationships across the Society, working closely with our product, digital, design and business development teams as well as our legal and compliance departments, and external agencies.

About You

You’ll have experience of working within relevant marketing functions, as well as a passion for marketing that gives you a point of view on best practice and its relevance to Coventry Building Society and the work you are doing. You’ll know what makes good content and how to use different channels to deliver a message in an engaging way.

You’ll be proactive and innovative in nature, spotting opportunities and grabbing them with both hands. You’ll always be looking to challenge the status quo if it means delivering on our commercial and brand objectives

You will work well with others as well as being able to deliver independently. And you have a natural drive to ensure delivery is on time and on budget. You’ll have strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage with, listen and respond to your stakeholders.

You will be highly organised, be able to multi task, and shift focus as marketing plans and customer needs evolve.

You’ll be experienced at producing effective marketing materials which are of high quality and meet the brief and deadlines set.

Whilst you’ll need to be able to brief agencies and copywriters on the creation of content, you’ll also already have the skills to be able to create your own. A good standard of literacy and the ability to adapt your written communication style depending on the audience is key.
