Telephone Business Development Manager - London

About The Role

To continue our commitment to our Intermediary partners, we are recruiting for our Telephone Business Development Management team and are looking for a professional and motivated relationship builder for our London area.

This role very much works in partnership with our successful London field based team and you’ll jointly manage (with your field BDM partner) a territory based Panel of Intermediary brokers and firms. You’ll encourage and develop high quality mortgage business in line with the overall business plan and facilitate the on-going relationship management of our Intermediary Panel.

Due to the expectations of the role you’ll be home based in or around Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire or London and will be comfortable travelling to Coventry at least once a fortnight or when required.

To be a success in this role you will already have excellent service and communication skills, with an ability to build rapport and trust with brokers, customers and stakeholders across all levels. You’ll be passionate about mortgages and be extremely organised, proactive and self-motivated. Whilst we have a clear passion to achieve goals and grow within the market, this role is not sales based.

You’ll also be responsible a wide variety of tasks including the on-boarding of brokers onto our Intermediary Panel to delivering telephone / zoom based meetings and presentations. You'll maintain your knowledge of product, criteria and system developments and accurately deliver this knowledge, confidently to your Panel. And support the Regional & Field Business Development Managers with occasional attendance at broker meetings, road shows, industry events, networking events, etc. and facilitate the effective on-going relationship management with internal stakeholders.

About You

To be successful in the role you’ll have current experience delivering an exceptional service from a relevant mortgage intermediary / broker background. You’ll have a strong evidence of understanding the mortgage market, products, lending criteria and policies.

You’ll have exceptional communications skills, with evidence of the ability to build rapport and trust with business professionals and stakeholders of all levels. The ability to persuade and influence whilst maintaining reputation and integrity, will be critical.

You’ll already be comfortable working in a consultative way to build long term business relationships and be a confident at presenting information. Being a self-starter able to work autonomously with minimal day to day direct supervision and motivated with the ability to manage your time and diary efficiently, with be important.

You’ll be passionate about mortgages and will be extremely organised, proactive and self-motivated. CeMAP and a driving license would be advantageous but not essential.
