Lead Analyst (Credit Systems and Projects)

About The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Society’s credit risk team for an individual keen to widen their knowledge and develop their career at the Coventry whilst taking on a small team responsible for the Society’s retail credit risk decisioning systems, including its affordability model and credit risk projects in relation to management of those systems.

The successful individual will have a full understanding of the use of decision engines in the making of credit decisions alongside the ability to apply project management and analytical skills and experience in a credit risk environment.  They will be keen to utilise the credit decision systems to optimise the Societies balance between risk, reward and effectiveness.

 

 

 

About You
You should be able to evidence this by specific credit risk related experience, and/or a demonstrable ability to use analytical thinking. Naturally we will expect a strong statistical or mathematical background.  

It is essential that you understand the principles and techniques behind credit scoring and use of policy rules to automate elements of lending policy. Exposure to modelling for scorecard builds would be an advantage.

A sound commercial knowledge of consumer lending and particularly mortgages would be advantageous in conjunction with the ability to use complex spreadsheets, preferably in MS Excel. It is also essential that you have experience or aptitude for using report writing tools such as Business Objects.

The role holder will be expected to write reports and make presentations to senior (including Executive level) management and Committees therefore a high level of proficiency in report writing is essential

 

About The Company
 

35 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm

Some night time attendance at scheduled change release required – approximately 6-8 per year
