Senior Specialist - Leadership Development

About The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity to support the development of our managers and leaders, strengthening the leadership pipeline and providing consultancy support to address leadership and management skills gaps.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Taking ownership and leading on the facilitation and direction of our ‘Inspire’ emerging  leaders programme
  • Creation of high quality management development material for blended learning platforms including our Learning Management System.
  • The design, delivery and enhancement of  key workshops and bitesize learning e.g. Effective Development Conversations, Practicing Giving Feedback, Assertiveness etc.
  • Provide L&D consultancy to management teams and senior leaders to support the organisation in addressing priority leadership skill gaps not met by our core offering
  • Supporting line managers in creating effective development plans, sourcing  development solutions, utilising external suppliers including Mindtools, Future Learn e.g.
  • Supporting the Leadership and Talent Development Manager to envision and embed a lifelong learning culture across the organisation.
  • Managing external supplier relationships
  • Managing the administration and ad-hoc queries received by the team
About You

You will have a passion for developing people and have significant experience of:

  • The theory and practice of effective learning and development approaches, including 70-20-10
  • A range of leadership development approaches and models, including Coaching and Feedback
  • Current thinking on Lifelong learning, leadership development approaches and practice and Growth mindsets

In previous roles you will have demonstrated ability to:

  • Deliver impactful management and leadership events
  • Review and analyse the development needs of teams and individuals
  • Build relationships confidently and quickly
  • Positively influence/challenge others outside of your own team, including people in more senior roles
  • Communicate competently verbally and in writing
  • Analyse issues and create simple, effective solutions
  • Manage a very busy workload with sometimes changing priorities
  • Produce high quality, accurate documents in Power Point, Word and Excel
  • Be flexible, positive and enjoy working as part of a team
