Change Team Communications Specialist (6 Month FTC initially)

About The Role
We’re now looking for a Change Team Communications Specialist initially on a 6 month period during this busy time in the Change Department. This could be extended or made permanent depending on how the role goes- as its a new position. The main aspect of the role will be to work with the Change Leadership Team, to make sure there is a joined up Change Strategy and plan this across the department. Part of the role is to also manage team level communications, making sure this is seamless so there is no break in activity. Some other key accountabilities include:
  • Reviewing the current Change Team communications activity
  • Planning which communication activities are needed to help the department achieve its objectives, including operational and employee engagement goals
  • External as well as Internal communications
  • Developing a Change team communications strategy, including team branding and culture as well as operational effectiveness
  • Leading the delivery of department level communications activity, including planning and coordinating events as well as writing material for presentations and newsletters
  • Working closely with the department’s Internal Communications Partner to make sure the wider CBS communications activity and guidelines match
  • Working closely with the departments Employee Engagement Champions to make sure activity matches with team strategy and the communication plan to make it as effective as possible
About You

You’ll have experience of working in a communications planning and delivery role (or similar) previously. You will also have excellent written communication skills and a strong eye for detail.  An innovative approach & being able to think ‘outside the box’ would be welcomed, to ensure both formal and informal channels are being maximised. Some more key skills that you will have include:

  • Excellent proactive planning and organisational skills
  • Able to demonstrate stakeholder management at all levels including at a Senior level
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and presentational
  • Able to use all Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Able to work with minimum supervision, supported by good influencing & team working skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of communication techniques and tools (eg Intranet)
  • Able to remain discreet and respect confidentiality when & where required
  • Change Management experience (ideally)
