Service Management Analyst

About The Role
Are you looking for a great opportunity to expand your knowledge of specific service management areas, or are you looking for an opportunity to step into IT Service Management?

As a Service Management Analyst, you will support the team in the day to day operation of our Service Management processes. You will be responsible for ensuring Management Information is available to the business, the development of new reports from data held within the ITSM tool, maintenance of reference data within the ITSM tool to enable the derivation of accurate information from the available data. Additionally, your role will involve you in ensuring that existing Policies, Processes and Procedures are understood and adhered to, as well as the identification and implementation of any improvements to these standards.

Initially your work will involve you in the operational tasks aligned to the IT Service Management, Capacity Management and Configuration Management functions. Specifically this will include the development and delivery of service improvements, documenting demand and capacity plans, maintaining and analysing the Configuration Management database. It is expected that you will be flexible and willing to work as part of the other Service functions within the Service Management team, as the need arises, developing skills and experience across the IT Service Management disciplines.

This role is a great opportunity for someone who is relatively new to specific service management areas, or is looking to change their focus to IT service management.
About You
Essential skills:

• Able to communicate effectively at all levels, with excellent customer facing skills.
• Good analytical / mathematical and trouble shooting skills.
• Collaborative approach, working other staff, managers and team leaders within the IT organisation.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise your workload to meet exacting deadlines, whilst maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure.
 
Desirable skills

• Proven experience in an Operational or Service Management function, ideally within the financial sector.
• ITIL / best practice service knowledge and experience within one or more Service functions, ideally with ITIL or equivalent certification for one or more disciplines.
• Knowledge and experience of integrated ITSM Toolsets.
• Any practical experience of Software Asset Management
