Right now, we’re a long way from representing the full diversity of our membership and communities, especially in our leadership. We’re committed to changing that. By the end of 2025, we want 40% of our senior management roles to be held by women, and 10% of all senior management roles to be held by colleagues from Black, Asian and other under-represented ethnic backgrounds. And we’re working hard to improve the representation of different sexual orientations, gender identities, disability, backgrounds and thinking styles in our workforce.
We can do more to tackle inequality and unfairness when we see it. It’s our responsibility to stand up for anyone who experiences inappropriate behaviour. It’s everyone’s responsibility at the Coventry to speak up when we spot ways we can be better, and to help each other learn and grow.
We care about our people and we have no tolerance for any form of discrimination on the basis of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. We seek to go beyond what’s legally required and we stand against harassment and bullying of anyone for any reason, whether it be gender expression, dress, appearance, mental health or any other part of people’s identity.
As just one symbol of our commitment to becoming an actively anti-racist organisation, we’ve signed up to the Race At Work Charter and will be publishing regular updates on the action we’re taking.
We recognise that everyone is different. We each have a unique identity that’s deeply complex and personal. But feeling included should be straightforward and simple, like everything else we do. It’s the way work should be - for everyone.
If you are interested in a career with us and have specific requirements you want to discuss in more detail, please get in touch, we’d be keen to explore how we can best support you.
